Game Description

The Grand Auction starts with a two-minute video that sets the stage and explains how to play.  The game is very simple – each team will ultimately have to build a consensus around just one bid per round to win items with value.  However, because the bids depend so much on what other teams are doing, no two games are ever the same. 

The game is played over a series of rounds.   Each round begins with a rating phase – where players get to express their like (or dislike) of a particular item.  Then, they must individually propose a bid for the item, without consulting with their teammates.  After all of the proposals are in, players are sent into their teams where they decide which bid to submit to the auction.  Will they spend more to ensure they win this round?  Or will they spend less to remain safe from being fired?

After all of the bets are submitted, the host brings teams back together to reveal the outcomes of the ratings and bidding.  Some teams will win big, others might lose out!  However, it’s anyone’s game as at the end of six rounds, the team that’s spent the most money is fired.  The team remaining with the highest value collection is the winning team!
